is it home or away?
if its away then a draw would not be a bad result

Comaback kids!!

Watched the match this morning and must say despite the scoreline,
i was quite satisfied with the result considering it was our "boys" team
with the exception of Gilberto, VPersie.

Djourou's poor header that was picked up by the Bulgarian striker lead
to their goal.

Nevertheless, we got the equaliser thru Walcott with a great thru pass
by Denilson with a dose of good luck as the ball hit Theo twice b4 hitting
the net.

Gilberto gave a satisfactory performace, Fabianski made a very good save,
Denilson was creative, Diaby gave away balls, Walcott was making good runs,
Senderos was credible, VP was a little rusty, Bendtner had a great header
while the others gave a good account of themselves.

Although it was not our 1st X1 with its style and fluency, but the confidence,
belief and attacking play was evident in the team last night.

Ironically, last nite's result was the same when we met last year with 2 draws
but we went thru eventually.

Haha..spurs spurned their lead again and our unbeaten record agst them still
stands after 9 years!!

The young guns should complete the job at the away leg in the lane.

Really Marcus? I thought you were just putting on an Italian accent like a mafioso, for emphasis on the in-your-face attitude that our Wenger boys gave to the Scum men.

"Coma-back kids!" It'sa thrilla to watcha theya playa so-a beautifulo!

Did you notice that the Scum played their strongest side. Even in goal...they took out the weak link and played someone better, obviously. ;-)

It really was an exciting game, and just over the moon to have come away without losing to the Scum. Definitely don't want to see the Scum ever winning at our new home.

The boys played beautifully and it was obvious Van Persie was a little rusty, but still surprised that Wenger was willing to make such an early substitution bringing on Dudu for RVP.

I thought Diaby seemed okay, just that he held the ball too long at times...but hey, maybe that's what Wenger told him to do. Be like Vieira and be commanding. He can't dribble though, but can pass for the most part, unlike Gilberto (with the exception of that one solid cross into the box in the first half) for RVP but their goalie got to it first.

The result was fair, bearing in mind the defensive lapses we committed especially in the first half, including for their goal.

Give credit to the scum who came to play and not defend, and also displayed some fluid passing movements and crosses. But that is the the best they can do, being the senior team after all.

All we need to do is score two goals and not lose at the Lane. Let's hope they get tired out as well...having to play Reading away in the FA Cup replay (thank you Paul Robinson!) and their league games, . . . all with the same bunch of players, unlike at The ARSENAL!

Thanks. Take care and God bless.

Regards,
Anand
