OK, this is your final warning !
Do it again and you may end up with C4 !

BTW, i speculate the area will likely be upfront
barring that, a centreback.

Bendtner are you sure? unfortuantely i have lost confidence over his
cheap signing after seeing a few junk namely Adebayor and Aliadiare
which Arsene has so much faith about..i begin to realize Walcott
finisher was abit joke too..

Why United is winning the league ..Look at the quality they assemble..
they deserve to win dont they?
Of cos i still support Arsenal but not Arsene desicion which is a Big
Doubt there

Dear Ram
Dun waste ur time sharing ur views with people who dun seem to
understand how is footballing is Well managed and value for money of
players.

We all know that Sheva caused a boomshell to Chelski.....and he does not
even worth 5 million pounds now and best thing No body wants him.

I dun see great players like Ronaldinho, Pirlo, Robinho, Van Nisteroy,
Crespo, Messi or Rahul can fit in our style and sistem of play.
Ah Weng does not deny that Adriano is a good player and decided not to
opt for him as He does not fit in our trade of play. Just look at his
countrymen Baptista who struggled to play last season.
Riquelme..maybe as he is similiar to Fab.

Another reason for a rational manager who thinks it is not worth to pay
huge transfer fees for a player that has exceeded the age of 28?

Many of u would say it is prime age....which is true at certain level
but most importantly in the modern game, players tend to be injury
plague at this age and recovery is slow. Just look at Henry, Viera,
Ballack and many more....So y should we pay more for keeping a player
that gets injured often and does not add value to the team. Another
reason is players tend to loose pace at this age....Does anybody here
disagree?.

We can take a gamble on paying huge transfer fees for a young lad like
Walcott, who can be nurtured and fit in the system.

Dear Choong, you have to understand this, no point of paying huge
transfer fees for a player and worst thing the player does not fit in
the system. Would that be a money burn into ashes? Yeah i admit we did
miss the boad for Tevez, even Ah Weng admits it too.
But think positive, We have two emerging talents in the form of Walcott
and Bendtner....who can be goal machines.

Fine (eventhough i dont agree). My next questions, what do you mean by
'serious' signing? I mean do we have to like splash 30, 40 million
pound? who do you want to see in this team? How sure are you if at all
we make 'serious' signing, we will win something? and lastly, why should
there be any serious signing if we can buy or already have players with
similar capability plus young plus cheap?

Man U won the league ..Chelsea did a cup double
Directly compare it with Arsenal ..Wat u think we lacking of?

You are right ..some important signing that shows the seriousness and
Ambition in challenge for title.
Arsene as a Pro Economist are refusing to do so which undermine our
challenge completely..
He still hoping ..hoping to get a Junk whom he can convert to another
Thiery Henry

This has become his philosohy that we not gonna see any serious signing
as long as he still around.

haha But still No point if he were to bing in another Alibaba or LaSana Sini somewhere from COngo..
And dont get me wrong.. i of cos agree Sheva n Toress was inflated
But they are still quality and world class...and im not asking to splash 30m

why not 10M like Nicholas Anelka etc ..too expensive? Its altogether
Arsene factor

Actually, I think Wenger is definitely looking for a new goalkeeper. It seems certain that Lehmann will be going. Typical comments, like "he is 200% focused"...similar to how a club chairman always say they are backing their manager just days before sacking him. :-)

Lehmann is getting old, and he needs to get a regular place, and his comments also reek of desperation. Like the fact that he is willing to play in 2nd division in Germany.

They must surely have received some offers, cos after all Lehman is still world-class and which club wouldn't want him when he plays for Germany at that.

So, it's likely that Wenger did not say the position he was looking for was in goal because then that confirms that Lehmann is leaving. Whereas saying you want a defender, midfielder or striker would not directly imply any one is leaving specifically cos there is no one to speculate on.

On that note, actually, as I said earlier in my feedback to Suku, about it
being better to have organised a dinner for the ARSENAL v MU early kickoff,
and at a bigger location just a few metres away in the One Bangsar lawn
area, . . . just want to inform that you guys should not miss the next
opportunity to do so on Sunday, 9th December to watch Middlesbrough v
ARSENAL, with an early kick-off at 9.30pm.

Suku has still not replied that there is any problem with having an event at
the One Bangsar lawn area, which is where we used to watch the matches last
season, so I presume it should still be available.

So, have an event, get everyone's name and issue simple name tags lah!

Take care and God bless.

But rainy season also people organise dinner lah, indoors and outdoors. Just have to put tent. One Bangsar management offered to put up tents for us during last season. I am sure this couldve been arranged for the Arsenal vs MU game, or could be requested for the upcoming game(s) that can be done at the lawn.

And where the large screen is concerned...even for Rick's Cafe, if it is raining, the screen will be affected, not to mention the Astro reception. :-)

Ah Weng has been quoting in the press recently of an vacant position in the team come January window.

By judging at current position and African nation Cup.

We are expected to loose Toure & Eboue for the whole month of Jan and possible half of Feb.

Forward position and midfield, I dun see anything we lack.

Right back does not seem to be a problem as we have a number of players who can fit in well.
Centre back seems to be the potential problem area, we have no sufficient cover since Aug as both Senderos and Gallas seems to be injury prone. Djourou is expected to be called back but still not enough.

The most obvious would be the transfer out of Pak leman and probably Gilberto...I have came accross a blog article below of Ah Weng considering offloading Rosicky to Inter
http://www.sportingo.com/football/arsenal_sell_£10m_rosicky_liverpool/1001,5709.

There was also rumour that Ah Weng is considering signing Robert Green of West Ham as first choice keeper?. I think it is a good idea

Can someone confirm how far are this stories are true?

hi,
my point of view is there are some areas that will be good with
addition of new signing..but if there is none, we are now ok not
concerning injury crisis...but i heard the most wanted personnel now
for arsenal is benzema of olympique lyonnais

Re: vs Reading..

Posted by: "Kar Heng Chew" karheng83@hotmail.com   karheng83

Mon Nov 12, 2007 10:27 pm (PST)

Managed to catch a bit of the game just now during lunch hour. Arsenal played...OK. They maintained possesion the whole way and from the start it was Damage limitation for Reading. Nevertheless, they did threaten with a couple of shots but were never close to scoring.

Arsenal on the other hand were wasteful in truth, Toure, Eboue's attempts were less than amusing. Adebayor came close a couple of times, only to be denied by the post and a poor call for offside by the linesman after a scintilating counter attack. Such beautiful passing went to waste and we really should have got more than 3. Eboue is not good enough to be playing on the wing as he finds it hard to play in tight spaces...Nevertheless, his departure in January for the African cup will mean an open slot for Walcott.
Rumours are around Arsenal as we're probably the only club up there with a "lack of depth", not really lack also but to many, we are...

Off hand, I can name these few players who are capable of stepping in at any time..

Bendtner, Eduardo, Walcott, Diarra, Traore, Hoyte, Senderos, Gilberto, Fabianski, Denilson

All capable but unproven except Gilberto. I suggest to leave these rumours alone and only worry or cheer when the news is published on the Arsenal website.

Back to work.

I somehow think its better to remove his ID instead of letting him say anything he wants and advice us not to reply him.

He is reading all our mails and looking at the email by some major contributors it is so clear no 1 actually likes his comments. If everyone will keep on getting offended with this constant irritating emails, then things will simply get worst.

Might as well remove his email and we wont see any negative email after this.

But if the administartor feels that its not fair to do so and he holds the right to write whatever he wants...then its not fair also to say 'dont waste energy to response to him'.

Hi Marcus,

Very good comment. Thanks for more sound advice. :-)

We should all take this advice from Snoopy's Uncle and APPLY it strictly . . . please!

More so, we should also not contradict our own advice, as one email just a few minutes ago demonstrated.

If you write an email saying "pls don't waste time sharing your views with so-and-so... ." . . . .but later in the same email you are directly addressing "Mr so-and-so... ", then please tell us who is the fool here. ;-)

Pls listen to your own advice...and stop at that. Thanks.

Let's not waste one bit more energy to response to this guy who has
obvious intention to instigate or create ill feelings within the

Dear Ram,

Choong's emails are edited. Hence, the emails that come out on the mailing list, are kept STRICTLY to his comments about ARSENAL, the players, the manager, other teams, etc. If he sends you an email directly, please also reply him directly and not through the mailing list. Thanks.

I would advise that you keep an open mind and allow him to simply give his opinion because that is his right. He does NOT have a right to write whatever he wants, as you have claimed below. It is edited, if necessary, to keep the mail focused on Arsenal.

And you asking me or others on this list to remove his ID - effectively to "send him off" or "give him a red card" - is like the cheating Anderson of MU asking the referee to give our player a card, as you will remember from the game last week. Its a very ugly side of football, so let's not bring that attitude into our Arsenal mailing list.

It's not right. Let's not impose our opinion on others and yet keep a close mind to hearing or reading other's opinions.

But finally, as Suku has said before, if anyone doesn't like an opinion just DELETE the email. Senang saja. Why so much fuss lah!

My earlier email about what you had written in your previous email was simply to point out that you were advising someone else "not to waste time sharing their view with you-know-who, then you end up doing the same thing instead". That's all.

You are most welcome to reply to his comments as much as you like. But don't get personal. Keep to the topic of what he is criticising.

The rest of us don't want to waste any more energy.

Anyway, don't take it so seriously lah Ram. This mailing list is just meant to be open-minded talk on Arsenal, be it good or bad. If someone wants to constantly criticise the team, biar lah. And I'm sure we can easily identify the impostors, like MU or Liverpool fans, who will try and gatecrash this forum with their dumb comments. From the emails so far, I am certain that this guy is not one of them. So, I will regard him as a Gooner.

Adebayor had a great game against Reading. He miss goal at the 4th minute but he was at the right place..full marks.(No strikers scored each time he gets the ball--)..Adebayor winning balls and evading tackles from defenders--that is full marks.(EPL defenders are the hardest faught).Adebayor plays at a pace and he can shrugged of any tackles to stop his run--full marks...And Adebayor pass the ball to the next best player in the best opportunity to score...he did that and that is full marks.Flasmini scored and Hleb scored --and Adebayor involved-And Ade himself scored two legitimate goals which one of them ruled offside by a poor eagle eyes ref had...So tell me.Is Eduardo and Bendtner or Walcott ready to have these qualities..??If they do then we can go 442.If not...451 or 4411 will do us good.Fabregas -Flamini-Hleb- Eboue will do the scoring with 451 beside Adebayor....

But the fact we conceaded at later stage is worrying. Its a typical blueprint of how to score against Arsenal....Gallas-Toure will not repeat this..It is a blueprint......They(other team) will keep on studying the videos on this ..Arsene will have to do something.Apart from that -we played Reading at casual pace..and Why Cesc get that unnecessary yellow card?? now dah 4 or 5 yellow card??? Suspended ke--check on this someone??

Fabregas got that yellow card quite intentionally I am sure. Even the commentators said that. And he did that so late in the game, so there is no danger of getting another yellow during the game and face a sending off with 3-game suspension.

Because of that, he now has accumulated 5 yellows, so he is suspended for one game, that is the next game, which happens to be Wigan at home, in two weeks.

So, its better they get the suspension out of the way now, and face a conceivably weaker team at home, than have him get a yellow card later and be out of our games against Chelsea or other top-half table teams.

Remember how Beckham did the same thing before for England during WC2006 qualifiers . . . but he was stupid enough to tell the whole world about it later in a press conference, as though he was a smart guy. Boy, did it backfire on him!
