Arsenal Holdings financial results announced

Greetings and Salutation.

Dear Arsenal Fan and Fanatics alike,

I wish to draw your attention to Arsenal Holdings financial results.

You can read here http://www.arsenal.com/article.asp?thisNav=News&article=481980&lid=NewsHeadline&Title=Arsenal+Holdings+financial+results+announced

or Download the document in the PDF format [http://www.arsenal.com/userincludes/docs/results24092007.pdf]

The best way that Arsenal can continue to deliver success is by maintaining a business that pays its own way. This philosophy helped establish our objectives for the club's move away from Highbury and Emirates Stadium now provides Arsenal with the increased income, profitability, cash generation and firm financial foundations from which we will continue to build trophy-winning Arsenal teams for many years to come.

Peter Hill-Wood,
Chairman
It is the best model commended, i.e. financing our operation by using natural resources via different various income streams rather than the debt-laden Glazer's model or the sugar daddy Abramovich's model.

Another place worth visiting is the Arsenal Supporter's Trust:-

Derby stamp

Gooners

Is there any surprise that the media once again took a blind eye to
the stamp Cesc got against Derby? Those sort of acts should be
removed from football but it seems the 5 goal bashing is sufficient
punishment. Would the FA be brave enough to call for video evidence
or publicly state that the referee saw the stamp and decided not to
take any action?

It was totally uncalled for and such action has no place in
football. Cesc got away ok this time round but I would hate to see
another `Diaby' incident before any action is taken.

Similarly, the Obi tackle on Evra is a red card offence. I would
not defend any Arsenal player going in with studs showing. It is a
foolish and dangerous way to tackle. Finally, how many f*** should
a ref take before sending a player off? Is it any wonder players
don't respect the refs when they can f*** and official for an
unlimited number of times in a match?

I won't go into the Derby detail as countless Arsenal blogs have had
their say. Just would like to add that at least they do not take
their foot off the pedal when they have the opposition in the back
foot compared to previous years. They remind me of the Manure team
of Becks-Scholes-Giggs at their peak when they wouldn't just stop at
3 or 4 goals but continue to pile on the misery (Ipswich remember?).

This is a healthy ruthless attitude. So often we dropped points
last season against less fancied opposition that it is good to know
we are picking up full points this season. It is still early in the
season but a reasonable points cushion going into November and
December is very much appreciated.

Thing is, I don't think the team is firing on all cylinders even
with the run of victories. Players like van Persie and Eduardo have
yet to find their scoring touch. The team is compensated by goals
from midfield, an area so dearth of them last season. I am not
worried as it would be good timing in the end when current
contributors like Cesc and Adebayor goes through a lean spell, with
van Persie and Eduardo picking up where they left off.

Nice new financial figures

Shah,
common keep on the good predictions also with scorelines- goalscorers etc and assists also.! -Like tim, who wants to hentam, others like me need help for our fantasy football team to hentam other teams. So, the identity of players getting the cards-yello & redcard will be needed also. Sure hope you will continue with this.
Plus,Arsenal's financial figures was super-duper like the present playing form of ours- just released figures. It even vaulted us above Chels and ManU in terms as richest top club in England.
It was a 50% increase in turnover to over 200Msterling pound for year ending May 2007. It meant just 1.2 M sterling pounds les than Real M.

The Management have prepared about USD140million for AW to buy player... it's up to him.
But we know AW is a prudent manager... he will buy a player far below than the budget.

And..

We are the richest club in EPL...

Arsene is a genius when it comes to money and players and i dont think he will use quarter of the 70 million pound. Why should he buy players now tell me? All the young guns are world class and they will get even better! I think he will buy a new goalkeeper. But even that i dont know...Almunia seems to be a very good goalkeeper.

I had chip in before to say-as long as Adebayor scores goals for the Gunners even with his butt..Id say Fantastik job!~! I would still call him Arsenal striker!....Even if he is in position to score and blew it..he is still Adebayor to me...Why you hate him so much. And I cannot get what you are saying..Agree with the take over by Russian Usmanov..but dont want to spend like Chelsea or Leeds...So what the hell is Wenger doing now?? Then who you want to be in arsenal team?? Ronaldo?Mista? Vieri?? Tevez??,who??Ask those players' managers who they want on their team.........they will say Adebayor!!!!
So....I had already figure out why you dont like him so much.....coz he dont groom himself. If he looks like Brad Pitt..or ..Beckham dont you think he will be good in USA..or in some galaxy?? Whatever lah but I played football..localy and I can imagine what it takes to take on defenders..especially in the EPL...you dont want to cross path with defenders of world class qualities..like Heinze-Malbranque-Oakley-Roi ferdinand-----they can crushed your legs boy! Thats why a profilic striker is a striker that can avoid injuries-and can evade tackles and can body challenge defenders by winning the tackles......still afford to score in the end.Thats a great stuff.Adebayor at the moment is the best in the EPL.........no doubt about it.Enough said.

so wat makes u thinks that i be wearing another shirt?my slate on
adebayor?
i think still a bit lucky to have able to nod in the 1st goal on set
piece and the third ..that 'beauty was all about Spurs leaving no one at the back ..so ade able to anything then

Afterall i still think he has no composure to succeed under tight
circumstances and will not ever perform week in and week out.
We need someone great upfront who provide the sparks when any going gets tough and u think ade able to do it?Certainly no..he cant even score on an open goal cos he got no left or right feet.

7 chances to get into right position and 9 chances to score one .. why
would we keep him?
i would say budget..thats y i agree with takeover..so we buy a better
player Not to spend like Chelsea or Leeds but all we ask for is someone a slightly better.

"He never gets into position ..when he does , He Blew it! "

I am in total agreement with Mr Anandan here.

What I have read in the UK newspaper, people who support the takeover
are those who think David Dein is still the man to bring Arsenal
forward, and not due to turning Arsenal into a 'plaything' for a some
Russian or Ukrainian tycoon. Even then there are many who think that Mr
Dein no longer has Arsenal best interest in his heart.

With the departure of Thierry, the current crop of players are able to
blossom into the world class players they are touted potentially capable
of. Cesc Fabregas, who in the past always looking for a link up with
Henry now found he actually has the option of shooting from distance
rather than trying to find someone in the box, thus making our attack
deadlier and quicker.

The purchase of William Gallas is just a short term solution to our
defence with the like of Johan Djourou and Matthew Connolly to come in
later. But Mr Wenger himself is very excited with the prospect of the
Norwegian Harvard Nordtvelt in defence and the Spanish midfielder Fran
Merida also has caught the eye during the recently concluded Youth World
Cup.

In truth, there is no need for a huge transfer kitty at all. A player
coming in with a huge price tag would only un-settle the team, thinking
that he would be an automatic starter week-in, week-out. Furthermore
there is the additional pressure to perform in order to justify the
price tag.

Coming in from the system would enable the players to express themselves
freely within the instructions of the coach or manager.

Goalkeeper? I don't think so.. because he still not using Fabianski, so he does not know yet whether to buy GK for now...
He play Almunia.. and he will test Fabianski in Carling Cup and FA cup.. at least for this season.
You may say it: 1 year probation... with another 1 year probation (options).
Same as he did to Almunia for the last 2 season... but he do not have enuff time to do so to Mart Poom (reason: Mart Poom is Estonian No.1 GK so he can't be at the bench for a long time. He need to play in major competition).

Anyway, my prediction in his shopping list:
1 left defender (new but good quality. Maybe 3star player)
Reason: To backup, rotate and/or tactics change beetween Traore:Clichy.
Like he did at right defender beetween Hoyte:Eboue:Sagna with option Gilbert Kerrea as under study player in that position.

1 or two central defender (new but good quality. Maybe 3star player)
Quite critical especially on African Nation Cup.
Reason: To backup, rotate and/or tactics change beetween Gallas:Toure.
Djourou will be back only in January to back up Toure left for ANC.
Sanderos (sorry... not my fav player.. sometime has a good game.. in other game, make my blood pressure getting higher and minor heart attack)

Anyway, we have utilitiy player like Diarra, Flamini, Diaby who can be a defender, midfielder, central midfielder, striker or 2nd striker when needed.

Suggestion????

No suggestion... AW is far far far better than me...
Hahahahahahahaha..........
