do we need another striker,..i really think we need one and i mean xperience
one..
looking at our strike force wit rvp, adebayor, bendtner n (dudu?) im bit worry
if one or 2 of these guys gt injured
like we suffer last season in henry n persie..frm wat i c frm bentner hes
not very gud in finishing look bit nervous like baptista, may b due 2 lack of
pl xperience..i think he need sum time to adapt wit the league,im not sure
hw will dudu blend wit persie or adebayor, comes to knw that dudu having sum
problem wit his work permit, hope can be solved b4 the kick off..hope henry
is here to guide them... - ):
sorry have to accept the life witout him.. but really miss him la..
may b thr is a chance since reyes has been sold 4 a quite large sum of
money.. well,mr.arsene knows better..
Just my humble opinion

GO GUNNERS!!!

Wonderful win by Arsenal yesterday and Hleb proving yet again that he should be playing in the middle. Goals were by Hleb and van Persie after going down from an Inter goal.

Hleb's Goal
Eboue who has attracted all the attention, running deep into the defence on the right flank squares the ball behind to Hleb, lurking at the edge of the penalty box, who takes a shot only for Toldo to magnificently palm it out towards the left. Hleb picks up the ball and buries it into the right corner of the goal. Amazing shot and shows that his shooting has improved. Hleb also ran past people as if they were not there when he plays in the middle of the park.

van Persie's Goal..
I fell asleep when Nicklas Bendtner came on, but according to soccernet.com, it was another Eboue pass from the right, with van Persie controlling the ball sublimely inside the penalty area and burying it from 6 yards.

Outstanding players...
Eboue - Single handedly caused 3 Inter defenders to be yellow carded, both centrebacks and one right back, first being Materazzi and finally Walter Samuel. Also had a hand in both goals, tho not assists but excellent in providing up front. Probably favouring his right wing position more than right back where Sagna has now taken position.

Gibbs - For a young player such as him with that amount of composure and talent, we probably wondered why he never got into the first team. He never looked out of depth or place and was amazing in his contribution.

van Persie - Nothing much has to be said about him when he even tried an almost impossible acute angle shot from a freekick which actually almost went into goal. His left foot was causing havoc all over the back of Inter's defence.

There will be a replay on Astro Supersport on Tuesday 5pm. Catch it if you missed it!

Oh by the way, why Gallas is captain was very obvious yesterday. He tells off opponents who try to make a fuss of nothing....Haha

Sukumar and Kar Heng,

Ironic kan that we are the only English owned team in the top 4 but
with hardly any English fellas. And I may be wrong here, but even
then, the English players are all what one would called second
generation naturalised Englishmen kan?

I would agree that perhaps we do not have a really solid team to win
the EPL. But I think we do have a rather good team on paper if we
look at the midfield and the attack. I think we will still play
entertaining football. I know we lost the Carling Cup Final, but were
they not magnificent for 3/4s of the game. Makes you proud to be a
Gooner!!!

By the way, dont you think Eboue is a better winger than a defender?
And Clichy has got what it takes to continue our magnificent heritage
of fast overlapping ketot leftbacks - Winterburn, Silvinho, Cole and
Clichy.

OK guys! Thanks for your comments.

PS How about Bendtner and Adebayor playing together with RVP. Then we
have Walcott also on the field with Hleb and Fabregas.

Defence tak kisah la ...either we play with all the leftbacks we have
or all the right backs we have or all the central defenders we have.
or ya, now we also have in theory 3 decent keepers.

Not a great team.........yet. But they will be right? Why? Because
we are great supporters and great teams come to those who greatly
support a team...any team. In this case, it is Arsenal!!!!

respects, Bendtner is not yet the player Alan Smith was, and has a
LONG WAY to go. Will he get there? We don't know. But one thing I can
tell you is that he is the same kinda player, doing all the
unglorified dirty work, running into good positions, toe poking balls
into goal at near post, heading in from far post, I bet you remember
all these didn't you? Thierry was never good at doing this and how I
wish we had a Bendtner, Thierry, van Persie combination up front, with
Bendtner dead centre, van Persie on the right flank, and Thierry on
the left flank. My goodness, how amazing that would have been!

thatArsenal tend to always have in its squad. Yes, like Parlour.
LikeGrimandi. I think he was a key player two years ago on our journey
tothe Champs League Final. He was superb at left back(in the place
ofCole and Clichy) in that brilliant defence.2. Bendtner is like the
underrated Alan Smith? I think you cannotcompare la. In the pre Wenger
days, I would consider Alan Smith as anArsenal legend, esp his goal
against Parma in the Cup WInners CupFinal in 1994.3. A lot of noise
has surfaced about Gallas being Captain. Well, incase you did not
know, ask this question: what happened to the lasttwo Arsenal
captains? Yes, they were bought by other clubs for goodmoney. So, it
is part of Wenger's plan to sell Gallas in the next 12months. If you
are French and you are Arsenal captain, you willexpect to be sold. Or
actually, is it part of the plan where Wengerand Gallas can
communicate in French and no one will be able tounderstand the secret
instructions given except for Gallas?Anyway folks, not only have the
players have to get fit for the comingseason. We too have to get fit
for those late kick off games. Heyman...I am not match fit....I was
struggling to stay awake for twonights in a row for the Emirates Cup.
BUT it was worthwhile watchingRVP's goal and Gibbs play. Fantastic!!!

Hi guys,

Its been exciting this coming weeks, Arsenal won the emirates cup and
we got to see the new team plays and they played really well. I never
really got this much excited when new season starts but the way I see
it right now Arsenal really have something to prove. It really reminds
me of what man utd did last season and what the invisibles did 3
seasons ago so much negative expectations yet when the seasons end
they were on top.....Thats how I see this season team is about to do.
Just really hope for the best and hangs on when the games starts rolling.

Anyway I just checked the Astro guide and I've found out that Astro
will basically cover all of arsenal pre season games and also all
arsenal youth games. Its brilliant...now I can see all the young guns
play hehehehe....Wish them the best of luck!!!!!!!

Long live king ????? (damn it have yet to find its replacement)
never mind Long Live King Wenger!!!!!!!!!!!!!
