A perfect week for our. How contrast it is compare to last time where we usually at our worst period during oct and nov. but this season we get passed them with flying result! 7 streak home game win in EPL and 15 streak home win in all competition shows how good we played at home. Of we could transform half of that to our away run, that will be good enuf.

Wat more can u say abt HENRY? he just cant stop scoring and his goal last nite was a typical arsenal movement and ONLY henry can score such goals so many times! perhaps becoz of that, we r not too excited abt it but i can tell u AW like tat goal so much! if HENRY's 17 goals in past 11 or 12 EPL matches does not sounds scary enuf, look at RVP record now! His directness is wat we have been lacking for such a long time since Ian Wright.

Cesc is slowly back to his best.

Gooners,

In all fairness, we did deserve the 3-0 victory and yes we played a good
game. But in reality, we were pushed to win it. Definitely it's a different
level to the Wigan game. However, bearing in mind that Wigan has now lost to
Spurs shows that they are coming to a halt in their run of victories.

Arsenal are now second with that win and are not yet in touching distance
with Chelsea. However, a good result for Portsmouth is what Arsenal and Man
Utd will be looking for. NOt too far behind are Liverpool, looking to regain
from their lacksture seasons in the EPL, to what now has become their 7th or
about, victory for them. With results such as this, Wigan looks to have lost
the plot prior to Christmas. Mid table easily by the new year if this goes
on.

Nevertheless, i'm here to preach about Arsenal and say what SPECTACULAR
GOALS we scored today. First, we were treated to a wonderful curled shot by
Cesc in the early minutes and then a simple finish from a pin point thro
pass from Pires and a WONDERFUL shot by v.Persie who made something out of
nothing.

Despite all that, my eye was on 2 players in this game. I looked more at
Pires and Cygan. I was not too concerned about the others, but what I saw
pleased me. Pires looks to be playing better and better with every game. He
is hardly the shade of what he was in September and looks to be regaining
the form we saw in the past seasons, playing on the right. It pleases me to
know that he still has what it takes.

Cygan on the other hand, gave me nervy moments. However, you can tell that
he has been practising quite a bit during training on that left side. He is
doing better with his positioning and it is a LOT better compared to when
playing against Wigan. He is now in position more, and does well to know
when to get in and out of position. I must say that David Thompson who came
in as a sub was not given a good time by Cygan, tho he, next to Bellamy must
have been the biggest threat to the Arsenal goal.

Gilberto who i criticised early will still receive some form of criticism
from me as he still is a tad lost in the centre. However, he is lucky to
have Campbell help break up the play after forcing Blackburn to push forward
more quickly.

But the goal of the night is definitely vPs. He created something out of
nothing when everyone thought the ball was about to roll out, only for him
to push it forward, take an acute turn, run straight and curl the ball into
the far post with absolute power and accuracy. This is 7 in 7 and he looks
to go 8 in 8. Do take note he only played for 10 minutes against Blackburn
and it looked as if Arsenal were not gonna score anymore because Blackburn
was pushing for a goal, even with ex Gunner Dickov coming in as a sub.

However, as brilliant the goals are, we only get 3 points in the bag and
that counts. Now for the next game and another victory.

just look how he save us on one occassion during Wigan's game, and

I beg to differ but we need the defence to be water tight in order to be truelly challenging for any championship..The past wins against Wigan and Sunderland does not credit a good defence but a resharpened attack led by Henry and Persie.Defensively-Sol to me is a world class but he seems not doing much tackling-avoiding injuries? Senderos is maturing -good but learning everyday. We are lucky we have the ever vigilant Toure who will do the cleaning of loose ball from poor markings.Or a good midfielder in Vieira ability will make our defence stable??Id love to see Blackburn failed to breach our defence. If we still win by 3-2 or 5-4 Iam worried and not convince yet that we have a good defensive solution.

I just feel that defensively we're OK.. probably just
need some stability there.. Reyes just needs some
goals in back to back games to kick in his
confidence.. Senderos needs to get over his phobia
(after those Chelsea matches).. I think the
qualification brought him much good and he'll do us
proud in the future.. He was worth the wait for me..
How I wish Arsene would try partnering Gilberto with
Toure during defensive tactics on away matches and hit
opponents on the counter attack (like how Sven used
Ledley King for the England setup).. Or probably go
with Reyes, Henry n v.Persie as a three man attacking
force and let them go crazy up front.. remember the
Madrid setup when Zidane, Figo n McManaman were
playing together, all were switching flanks and made
the defence go haywire..

Yes, we do need back up, but it wont be always that we will be faced
with 2 very good left back having long term injury at the SAME time. If
we get suitable replacement, would he be willing to be behind cole and
clichy in the starting line up ? Look at our right back, Voltz. I say,
he is not too bad of a defender and he only had lauren above him in the
line up. But still, he left for first team opportunities.
No one could have guesses that we will have BOTH the leftbacks injured.
Its really unlucky for ourside.
If you see the current side now..We have replacement for almost every
position.
2 left backs (cole and clichy)
2 right backs ( lauren and eboue)
4 centre halfs (Senderos, Sol, Toure, Cygan)
4 Wingers ( Pires, Reyes, Ljungberg, Helb)
3 Midfields ( Cesc, Gilberto, Flamini)
3 strikers ( Henry, Persie, Bergkamp)

Of course, the depth of the squad can and must be improved at certain
area. Midfield should be a top priority, coz I feel flamini still have
lots to learn. And up front. Another striker after Bergie calls it
quits.
But the list does not include the pridigiously superb talent we have in
the reserve teams.

Hi Anand!
Whoever we meet at this stage won't be easy meat. If we get to the next round there will be Barcelona and Real Madrid waiting; that is if they got pass Chelsea or the Milan's. Whatever it is, the champion will be a worthy team. Let's hope this is Arsenal's yea!!

Dear Gooners,

Sorry to say that ASTRO SuperSports have opted to show LIVE the 'very
exciting' match of Doncaster Rovers vs Aston Villa, instead of our beloved
GUNNERS, from the first day of matches played in the Carling Cup this week,
on 29th November.

Not surprisingly, they picked Manure vs West Bromwich Albion as the LIVE
match on the 2nd Carling Cup matchday this week, played on 30th November.

Take care and God bless.
