Subject: Cygan, and the rest of the defence...

Gooners,

Pointing fingers at Cygan will be no use. In the end, it is the gaffer who
learns from the mistakes which we made at JJB. Despite the unending abuses
hurled towards Cygan, i believe that football is a team game and that
Ljungberg did not do enough to come down the flank to help Cygan out. As we
already know, Cygan isn't an excellent defender, let alone, be an excellent
left back. He has the pace of a sloth and the passing of a blind man at
times.

For me, the defender of the day was definitely Sol. He had to work his arse
off to cover both left and centre when playing against Wigan. Sadly, we
still conceded 2 goals, one which was due to ball watching and the other,
due to undisciplined character from our defence, which the main culprit is
Cygan.

I felt that Gilberto did not do well against Wigan either, he looked as if
he was struggling, looking for a teammate to fall back on to. Cesc, on the
other hand was industrious in attack, however, I cannot really say so for
defence. He looked a tad sharper than Gilberto, however, was prone to giving
away really silly passes! Pires looked as if he was cast away in the Sahara
on the right flank.

So, for me, it was 3 points. Not a well deserved victory but a victory made
due to a moment of brilliance from our beloved captiain Titi. We move on,
knowing we are 2 points away from Wigan and a billion light years away from
Chelski whom, in reality are still almost unstoppable.

If it were a game against Chelsea, Arsenal would have scored probably only 1
goal from the freekick. Even the assured Cech wouldn't have been able to
save a freekick of that quality. I'm not sure about the v.Persie goal and
Henry's first goal tho..Chelsea's defence wouldn't have spread their legs
that freely for henry to wander about, and nor would Makelele allow v.Persie
to run so freely.
And yes, we'd probably concede 4 or 5 goals from such shambolic defence.

Did you guys see Ljungberg screamed at Cygan at the touchline because he
was way up and Ljungberg had to be left back for quite a while?

Hehe... everybody just got to contribute on that side without a
recognized LB.

wenger still fall back to cygan... i hope wenger will see that he is not solid enuff for arsenal...
i remember some ppl questioning why reyes was always preferred to v. persie when more ppl think v. persie is a better striker...but in the last match, v.persie did start rite? mebbe it means wenger finally listened to wat ppl say...i hope he will also listen to wat ppl are saying about cygan...

just my opinion.
